We need to keep a check on what we are eating to help maintain a healthy lifestyle.

Our body needs every nutrient in adequate amounts to sustain us. Excess of anything could be harmful.

That is why having a balanced diet is very much needed. The quantity of food intake in a balanced diet depends upon your age, gender, physiological status and physical activity.

Nutrients like carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals in the proper amount are needed. Every person should have 50-60% of calories from carbohydrates, 10-15% protein and 20-30% fat in their balanced diet. In addition to that one also should have dietary products, anti-oxidant, phytochemicals in their balanced diet to improve their health.

Following basic diet plans given online is good but you may not see visible results because everyone’s requirement for nutrients is a bit different from others.

Do Yoga or freehand exercise:

It is important to sweat out the calories that you gained. It doesn’t mean that you have to go to the gym and workout like hell. It is always good if you like to keep a muscular body and look attractive or if working out at the gym is your meditation then that is a different issue.

In the busy schedule, you generally don’t find enough time to dedicate it to the gym. In that case, you can opt for some basic yoga to keep you refreshed the whole day and keep you energized. You can perform yoga like Anulom Vilom, Pranayam and other basic moves, even at your workplace.

A little freehand exercise in the morning will help your body with blood circulation. You can also try to meditate for a minute or two. Meditation also helps a lot to keep oneself healthy. It gives you mental peace and clears your mind to focus on the necessary matters.

Like every machine we have created we also require some rest to start our daily chores again. But, many of us skip this part or shorten the time for sleep to work a bit more to earn a bit more.

Our bodies require a minimum of 6-8 hours of sleep daily to function properly. Everyone has a body clock and according to that our body works and sleeps.

According to that, we should go to sleep when our body gives us a sign. The sleep cycle is also important for our body.

An adult requires 1.3 to 1.5 hours of deep sleep which is a part of the sleep cycle and thus it is necessary to get an adequate amount of sleep.

It is always helpful to sit together and talk and laugh. Humans like to feel that belong from somewhere or they like to be a part of a larger community that gives the sense of togetherness. Thus, socializing with the right people is needed to keep mental health fine.
