My Qunol Liquid CoQ10 Review
Recently, I began using a dietary supplement called Qunol Liquid CoQ10 after a friend of mine who is in his 60′s and has several health related issues told me about a liquid vitamin he is taking that has helped him lower his cholesterol naturally, allowed him to reduce the amount of nitroglycerin he is taking for heart disease, and has helped improve his memory. When I asked him what he is taking, he said he is taking Qunol CoQ10 supplement, also known as Coenzyme Q10.
After using this unique dietary supplement myself, I decided to write a Qunol CoQ10 Review, to educate people on the uses, benefits, and risks of using this liquid dietary supplement.
History of CoQ10 Dietary Supplements
Many people may think CoQ10, also known as ubiquinone is a new dietary supplement on the market today, but in fact, Coenzyme 10 (coq10) was discovered by Dr. Frederick Crane of the University of Wisconsin in 1957. Due to the rise in baby boomers now reaching their 50′s and 60′s, more people in the US are facing a variety of health related issues, such as heart disease, effects of smoking, erectile dysfunction, low testosterone, cancer and natural reduction in the body’s production of Coenzyme Q10. Studies of people with heart related health issues, cancer, and other diseases are found to be deficient in CoQ10.
What is Coenzyme Q10?
Your body naturally makes a product called Coenzyme Q10, also known as Co Q10, which acts as a a sort of energy plant for the cells. Coenzyme Q10 is a compound found naturally in the energy-producing center of the cell known as the mitochondria. This vital enzyme is involved in making an important molecule known as adenosine triphosphate (ATP). ATP serves as the cell’s major energy source and drives a number of biological processes, including muscle contraction and the production of protein. CoQ10 is also a natural antioxidant, which hunts down and removes free radicals in the body. Free radicals are responsible for damage to cells, organs and tissue, which can lead to disease. Liquid CoQ10 particularly repairs free radicals in the liver, kidneys and heart preventing diseases in these vital organs.
As we age, the human body reduces the production of coenzyme q1o, and people can take a Co Q10 dietary supplement to replace what is lost naturally over time.
Where is Coenzyme Q10 Found in the Human Body
Coenzyme Q10 is found naturally in large quantities in the liver, kidneys and heart. Vitamins such as niacin, B6, B12, C, and folate help the body produce CoQ10 naturally without the use of a CoQ10 supplement.
The mitochondria, the area of cells where energy is produced, contain the most Q10. The heart and liver contain the greatest amount of CoQ10.
As people age, the production of Coemzyme 10 decreases which can lead to several heart and health issues, and taking Qunol CoQ10 is an excellent way to replace this essential enzyme to boost energy for your cells.
Reduction of C0 Q10 in the Human Body
The natural production of CoQ10 in the human body begins to diminish between the ages of 40 and 45. A good natural source to replenish the Q10 enzyme is found in foods rich in Omega-3 Fatty Acids, such as salmon, beef, and pork. Consumption of these foods helps replenish CoQ10 in the body. As we age, the levels of Coenzyme 10 decrease naturally, resulting in several health related issues, including:
◊Heart Disease
◊Type-2 Diabetes
◊Congestive Heart Failure
◊Cancer
◊Parkinson’s Disease
◊Memory Loss

Is Co Q10 Safe?
Qunol Liquid Co Q10 is a very safe natural dietary supplement. In addition to supporting heart health, boosting cellular energy and its role as a powerful antioxidant that fights free radicals, research has shown that supplementing with CoQ10 is essential to restoring optimum CoQ10 levels in people who take cholesterol-lowering statin drugs. Several classes of prescription drugs have been shown to deplete Coenzyme Q10 levels in the body. Supplementing with a highly absorbable form of Co Q10 (Qunol) may be appropriate in such cases. As with any dietary supplement being used in conjunction with other prescription medications, or other therapies, such as chemotherapy, consult your physician before adding any type of dietary or natural health supplement, as unpleasant or dangerous side effects may occur.
Precautions When Taking Co Q10 With Other Medications
Due to the potential for side effects and interactions with medications, you should consult your doctor before taking any dietary supplements.
Qunol Q10 appears to be generally safe with no significant side effects, except occasional stomach upset when taken by itself. However, the safety of Co Q10 supplementation during pregnancy and breastfeeding is unknown and, , should not be used without first consulting a medical professional.
If you are currently being treated with any of the following medications, you should not use CoQ10 without first talking to your health care provider.
Daunorubicin and doxorubicin — Co Q10 may help reduce the toxic effects on the heart caused by daunorubicin (Cerubidin) and doxorubicin (Adriamycin), two chemotherapy medications that are commonly used to treat several kinds of cancer. Always speak to your oncologist before taking antioxidants along with chemotherapy.
Blood-thinning medications — There have been reports that CoQ10 may decrease the effectiveness of blood-thinning medications such as warfarin (Coumadin) or clopidigrel (Plavix), leading to the need for increased doses. Therefore, given that this medication must be monitored very closely for maintenance of appropriate levels and steady blood thinning, CoQ10 should be used with warfarin only under careful supervision by your health care provider.
Timolol — CoQ10 supplementation may reduce the heart-related side effects of timolol drops (Betoptic), a beta-blocker medication used to treat glaucoma, without decreasing the effectiveness of the medicat

Drawback of Co Q10 Supplement
Any responsible product review should discuss positives and negatives of a product. The only negative I have found with Qunol Liquid Co Q10 is that some people reported it was too sweet, while most reviewers enjoyed the orange flavor. I find the taste ok, but my wife thinks it is too sweet.
An easy way reduce the sweetness is to mix 2 ounces of Qunol Co Q10 with 4 to 6 ounces of juice or water. Don’t use too much water or juice so you do not dilute the Coenzyme Q10 too much and lose its effectiveness.
If you do not like sweet liquid health supplements, you can get Qunol Q10 Softgels , which offers 100mg of CoQ10 without the sweetness of liquid CoQ10.
Where Can You Buy Qunol Liquid CoQ10?
